FIRA BENÈFICA 2018 – CHRISTMAS FAIR 2018

TO BE HELD AT LA CLOSETA, AVDA SANT ANTONI, LA MASSANA ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2018 FROM 10.30 AM TO 3.00 PM

SATURDAY LUNCH, NOVEMBER 24 FROM 13.00 to 14.00

We invite you to come and eat with us at La Closeta main hall on Saturday, November 24.

We are offering our famous roast loin of pork (with crisp crackling and home made apple sauce and home made stuffing) and baked gammon (fresh from the UK). The meats are carved as you are served – just for you! All our meat has been donated by members and friends of the Club and prepared for us by chef José Reyna at the Hotel Montané.

For vegetarians we will have a large poached salmon in sauce courtesy of Fiona Dean and the Hotel Montané

For strict vegetarians we also expect to have a selection of vegetarian quiches courtesy of chef José Reyna.

All will be accompanied by a selection of salads and a baked potato.

A glass of red or white wine or a soft drink is included in the price of €10, as well as a small dessert item such as a mince pie, and water will be available of course free of charge. Every single Euro we take goes to support our selected charity!

Additional glasses of wine will be available at €1/€2 per glass (€6/€10 per bottle for tables)

We also expect to offer desserts, including apple pie and treacle tart, from the separate refreshment counter after the main course at a price of €2,50.

Last year we had over 80 satisfied customers; we need you bookings NOW please to ensure we provide enough for everybody who may want to join us

SUNDAY REFRESHMENTS AND LUNCH:

We will be offering coffee and tea and soft drinks and cakes and savoury snacks right from opening time at 10.30 am on Sunday – so you could join us straight away and “skip” breakfast.

Sunday lunch will be served as from 12.30 pm with all the food being prepared by chef José Reyna at the Hotel Montané. Our menu will comprise:

  • Selection of roast turkey (we ordered three this year) and roast beef, with baked potato and selection of salads
  • Chicken curry with rice
  • For vegetarians we will also offer:
    • Poached salmon, with baked potato and selection of salads
    • Selection of vegetarian quiches, with selection of salads

A glass of red or white wine or a soft drink is included in the price of €10, as well as a small dessert item such as a mince pie, and water will be available of course free of charge. Every single Euro we take goes to support our selected charity!

Additional glasses of wine will be available at €1/€2 per glass (€5/€10 per bottle for tables)

We also again expect to offer desserts from the separate refreshment counter at €2,50 each

There is no need to book – but you may need to wait in line as our carvers cannot always keep up with demand and we do like to serve the meats freshly carved!

Our ability to offer a wide selection of desserts will depend on our receiving desserts as donations to our Home Produce stall, which will also be selling whole cakes and mince pies etc from a counter beside refreshments throughout the day.
