Minister of public administration, transport and telecommunications of Jordi Alcobé and President of Globalvia (the concessionaire of the Envalira tunnel) Maria Luisa Castro signed an agreement that will provide electric cars, registered in Andorra (Pyrenees), free passage through the tunnel Envalira in the direction of France.
The agreement comes into force immediately and will be valid until 31 December 2016. In the case of the consent of both parties then the agreement will be extended by 2 years till 31 December 2018.
The owners of the class 1 vehicles registered in Andorra, both individuals and non-profit organizations can get this benefit. The autoclass 1 corresponds to all passenger cars max weight of 3.5 t.
The government will provide the company with a list of license registering numbers of cars who have the right to use this service.
