On September 1, the upper chamber of the Spanish Parliament (the Senate) ratified the Agreement on avoidance of double taxation between Spain and Andorra. 239 votes were “for”, 4 “against” and 5 abstentions. This is the last procedure that needed to be implemented before the final contract coming into force since 1 January 2016.

We will remind that on June 25 this year, the document was ratified by the lower Board of the Spanish Parliament. Speaking at a press conference after the ratification of the Treaty, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Andorra Gilbert Saboya once again stated the importance of such agreement, and the huge prospects in economic cooperation between 2 countries.
