The Council of Ministers of Andorra launched a competition for grants for house rent. The corresponding initiative was announced by the Minister of Justice, social and internal affairs of Andorra Xavier Espot. The budget for 2017 for this purpose is amounted to 1,400,000 euros. Applications are accepted from 9th February until 10th March 2017.
Only persons who meet certain categories can apply. Among them are low-income families with many children, lonely people, as well as women who are victims of gender violence.
The maximum size of the monthly rent is 600 euros per person, 630 euros – for a couple and 660 euros – for a family of three or more people. This amount does not include additional costs such as heating, parking and hot water.
