The Council of Ministers of Andorra approved a bill on the activities of public services designed to improve the quality of service to citizens

The Government of Andorra approved a bill on the activities of public services designed to improve the quality of service to citizens. The text of the draft law was prepared in close cooperation with the trade unions of Andorra (Pyrenees).

The purpose of the bill is to create a transparent and efficient structure of public services that can quickly respond to the changing needs of a society.

The bill, in particular, provides for the introduction of the so-called “horizontal career model”, the system of rewarding of talented workers, and also opens up new opportunities for employee mobility and more specifically sets the training plan. In particular, workers will be able to gain easy access to training in order to achieve their goals and objectives. In this regard, it is expected to conclude agreements with educational institutions.

One of the innovations of the bill is the possibility of reducing of the working day for workers from 56 to to 61 years.

The bill also offers 100% medical coverage for work accidents by CASS.

The bill comes to the Parliament of Andorra in the coming days.
