Combat helicopters of the USSR: Mi-24. Developed in OKB Mill. The first flight – 1969. The model became the first Soviet and second after the AH-1 Cobra combat helicopter. Had many modifications and exported to various countries. Actively used during the Afghan war, in Chechnya. Unofficial name – “crocodile”. Helicopters of early versions were also called “cup” because of the flat glass in the cockpit.
