As reported the Government of Andorra,, the budget of Principality gained 16 mln euro due to additional inflow of tourists during only two month last summer. The cause is Cirque du Soleil tour, which took place from July to August. Even though, the central city parking lot did not work those months, because it became a part of an audience space. Lost revenues of the parking lot, in the amount of 80 000 euro, was more than covered by a great number of tourists who visited Andorra (Pyrenees) that period. “Sponsorship of such kind of events is economically viable for the government of Andorra, for which reason it was decided to organize similar event this summer” – said a government representative.
Let us recall, that Cirque Du Soleil plans to present a new acrobatic show of Scalada series in Andorra la Vella this summer. According to tradition, most of tickets will be free of charge (specifically, 3 500 standees).
