Representatives of the Ministry of tourism of Andorra (Pyrenees) and the largest Andorra tour operators (Hotansa, Hotels Plaza, Daguisa, Caldea-Inúu, Grandvalira, Regina i Itravex) visited Shanghai for the purpose of development of trade and tourism with China.
The minister of tourism and trade of Andorra Francesc Camp and the director of the state organization “Tourism of Andorra” Joaquim Tomàs headed delegation of Andorra at negotiations with more than 40 tour operators of China, and also other companies connected with travel business.
The representative of “Tourism of Andorra” noted that the main objective of the principality at negotiations in China was to present Andorra as one of obligatory stops on the way of excursion routes between Catalonia (Spain) and Occitania (France). This tourist package is especially popular among the Chinese tourists traveling across Europe.
Besides, the representative of “Tourism of Andorra” noted the fact of growth of interest of the Chinese partners in the ski resorts of the principality.
The first results of these negotiations, according to the representative of the “Tourism of Andorra”, can already appear in 2016. In case of positive results the Ministry of tourism of Andorra will work out a question of organizing similar negotiations with the interested companies of Hong Kong and other large cities of China.
