The Abarth 595 is a sporty subcompact car by Fiat based on the Fiat 500 (2007) and built and marketed under the Abarth brand. It has been available since August 2012 and the base price is 20,190 euros. Additional performance-enhanced and more equipped versions of the 595 are the Abarth 595 Turismo and the Abarth 595 Competizione.

The Abarth 595 Custom has a 1.4-liter inline four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine (T-JET) that delivers 103 kW (140 hp). The displacement of the engine is 1368 cm³. The engine’s maximum torque is 206 Nm at a speed of 2000 rpm.

The Abarth 595 is available with a manual five-speed gearbox (MT) or the Abarth Competizione automated five-speed manual gearbox (MTA), which also allows gear changes via shift paddles on the steering wheel.

The chassis consists of MacPherson independent wheel suspension with an anti-roll bar at the front and a twist-beam axle at the rear. The chassis tuning corresponds to a sports chassis, the body is lowered.

The brakes are ventilated disc brakes at the front and standard disc brakes at the rear. The 16″ eight-spoke Abarth alloy wheels are fitted with 195/45 R16 tyres.

The standard equipment also includes dual drive electronic power steering, a sports exhaust system, a sports leather steering wheel, air conditioning, fog lights and many other modern electrical equipment. The Abarth 595 has a curb weight of 1035 kg and is 3657 mm long, 1627 mm wide and 1485 mm high.
