The Association for the Protection of Animals, Plants and the Environment of Andorra (Pyrenees) will monitor the construction of additional infrastructure in the finish zone in the Avet track in the Soldeu-El Tarter sector (Grandvalira). New infrastructure elements will improve the safety of the track, which will become the venue for the FIS ALPINE SKIING World Championship in 2019.

All construction work must be carried out in strict accordance with the law on environmental protection, reports the association.

The project has a national status and also provides for the construction of an underground parking for 468 places and spectator stands. In addition, a press center will be built with the possibility of online broadcasting. The project will be implemented in accordance with the recommendations of the International Ski Federation (FIS).

Andorra will be represented by 3-4 athletes. The budget of the Andorran Ski Federation for the construction is 900,000 euros. Within two years, it will be increased up to 1.000.000 euros.

The final of the competition will be held in February 2019.
