The Prime Minister of Andorra Antoni Marti and the Director General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova, opened the art exhibition “l’Art Camp Andorra” in the United Nations headquarters in New York.

The event was also attended by the minister of Foreign Affairs of Andorra Gilbert Saboya and French artist and sculptor Hedva Ser (she’s been supporting the project “L’art Camp Andorra” since 2012).

The event is held every two years, starting in 2008. By this time, about 150 artists took part in the project.

This year 40 paintings of artists from five continents participate in the exhibition.

One of the main targets of the art exhibition “L’Art Camp Andorra” is the development of world culture as well as dialogue between countries and democracy and human rights protection.

The project is an initiative of the National Commission of Andorra for UNESCO.

The event is held for the first time outside Europe.

The exhibition will be open until September 24th.
