The head of the Government of AndorraAntoni Martí Petit, met the head of the Ibero-American General Secretariat Rebeca Grynspan at the UN headquarters to discuss the role of Andorra (Pyrenees) in the Latin American community.

The meeting was held in the framework of the preparations for the XXV Latin American Summit, which will take place on 28 and 29 October in Cartagena de Indias (Colombia).

Rebeca Grynspan also thanked Antoni Martí of the reception of the delegation of Latin American Ministers of Education, who participated in the Conference (Conferencia Iberoamericana de Ministros de Educación) in Andorra on 12 September. The conference was organized by the Ministry of Education of Andorra, the Ministry of Education of Colombia, OEI (Organization of Ibero-American States) and SEGIB (The Ibero-American Secretariat General). The main topic of discussion – youth education and entrepreneurship.

Rebeca Grynspan is the Secretary General of the Ibero-American Conference an international multilateral institution which brings together the 19 Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries of Latin America plus Spain, Andorra and Portugal.

She was unanimously elected in an Extraordinary Meeting of 22 Foreign Ministers held on February 24, 2014 in Mexico City and took office as Ibero-American Secretary General on April 1, 2014.
