Andorra’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be restructured

Andorra’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be restructured. The ministry will consist of three departments: the Department of Bilateral Relations and Consular Affairs, the Department of Multilateral Relations and Cooperation and the Department for Preparing the Ibero-American Summit.

The duties of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs include the consideration and signing of new international conventions, the continuation of negotiations on the conclusion of agreements on avoidance of double taxation with other states, support of diplomatic relations with neighboring countries, consular affairs, as well as the organization and holding of the Ibero-American summit of heads of state and government in 2020.

Joan Forner was appointed as the Director of the Department of Bilateral Relations and Consular Affairs; Gemma Cano was appointed as Director of the Department of Multilateral Relations and Cooperation; Cristina Mota was appointed as Director of the Ibero-American Summit Preparation Department.
