The Minister of justice, social and interior affairs of Andorra (Pyrenees) Xavier Espot and the Secretary of state for social affairs Ester Fenoll visited the medical rehabilitation center Guttmann de Badalona in Barcelona (Spain, Catalonia).
In particular, they visited the room of sensory stimulation, and the areas of neuropsychological and functional rehabilitation.
The government of Andorra and the Guttmann de Badalona centre collaborate since 2008 on the issue of training of Andorran specialists. The purpose of the visit of representatives of the Government of Andorra now is to establish new forms of cooperation in training activities, as well as to access to the social protection programmes of the Guttmann de Badalona centre.
Guttmann de Badalona centre is famous for its research activities and offers a wide range of training programs. One such program is aimed at preventing road accidents. The second program, in which Andorra plans to participate, provides the rehabilitation of the persons with disabilities.
