Andorra submitted its candidacy to host the XXVII Summit of Heads of Latin American States in 2020

Andorra (Pyrenees) submitted its candidacy to host the XXVII Summit of Heads of Latin American States in 2020.

The proposal was made by the Andorran Ambassador to Spain Jaume Gaytan on Friday, 28th October, before the meeting of Heads of Latin American countries at the summit, which was held in Colombia, in the city of Cartagena de Indias (Cartagena d’Índies).

In 2018 summit will be held in Guatemala.

His initiative was supported by the summit participants, and they also expressed the satisfaction with the organization of XXV Conference of Ministers of Education of the Ibero-American countries (Conferencia Iberoamericana de Ministros de Educación), which took place in the Principality on 12th September.

The final decision will be made by the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB).
