The head of the government of Andorra Antoni Martí met the prefect of Ariège, Chantal Mauchet, on her first visit to Andorra

The head of the Government of Andorra, Antoni Martí Petit, has met the prefect of Ariège (Occitania, France), Chantal Mauchet, on her first visit to Andorra (Pyrenees) this Wednesday. In the courtesy meeting, the head of the government and the prefect have commented on the issues of interest the two territories share.

The Ariège delegation was accompanied by the diplomatic adviser of the Prefect of Occitania, Jean-Marc Laforet, and the French ambassador of Andorra, Jocelyne Caballero.

At the meeting with the Head of Government, they followed up the issues dealt with in the meeting between Antoni Martí and the French Prime Minister, Eduard Philippe. Among other issues, they highlighted the project to improve the road RN20, which is a very important access road both territories. In this sense, Martí has highlighted the importance of this project to rebalance the trade and tourism balance and shows the commitment of Andorra since it is the first time that it will invest outside the country.

The prefect of Ariège took advantage of her visit to meet with the Minister of Social Affairs, Justice and Interior, Xavier Espot Zamora, Territorial Planning, Jordi Torres, and of the Environment, Agriculture and Sustainability, Sílvia Calvó.
