Andorra la Vella and the border town of La Seu d’Urgell (Spain) will host the 2018 for adults and children with intellectual disabilities. Earlier in an interview to all-andorra.com Mayor of La Seu d’Urgell Albert Batalla said “two cities had all the necessary infrastructure and were ready to host 1200 best athletes from 18 countries”.

The Olympic Games will take place from 4th to 7th October, 2018. In general, more than 2,500 people (including athletes, their families, organizers and volunteers) are expected to come.

The event is held for the first time in the Pyrenees. The first Olympic Games for people with intellectual disabilities in Catalonia were held in 1988 in Lleida.
