Andorra (Pyrenees) is tackling climate change by conducting soil research.
The Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Sustainable Development of Andorra and the Center for Mountains and Snow Study of Andorra (CENMA) signed an agreement regarding the cooperation and exchange of information regarding climate change in Andorra. This agreement outlines a joint study of the soil changes in Andorra.
The agreement is in line with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The purpose of the agreement is to tackle climate change in order to identify and promote adaptation measures and mitigate the consequences.
CENMA explores changes in land conditions. The work is carried out using satellites.
