Andorra is ready to accommodate refugees from Syria

Andorra and the Christian community of Sant’Egidio have signed a protocol of mutual understanding, which allows to accommodate refugees from Syria. The document was signed today by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Andorra, Maria Ubach, the Minister of Justice, Social and Internal Affairs, Xavier Espot, and the Secretary General of the Christian community, Cesare Giacomo Zucconi.

A similar protocol has already signed with France, Belgium and Italy.

Refugees will get the rights to work, study, use social and health services. The draft law also provides conditions for the return of refugees to the country of origin, if they wish.

The quota of the government will be approved annually.
