2018-2019 Ski Mountaineering calendar proposed six stages of World Cup, beginning from the middle of January until the first week of April. The races will be held in Andorra (Pyrenees), Austria, China, Italy, France and Switzerland.

The World Championships will be held from the 9th until the 16th of March 2019 in beautiful Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland.

Peter Treichel and Tatiana Paulino are the Overall leaders after the Vertical and Sprint races.

It is important to underline the effort of the FASA in the Youth categories. The fight between the four first cadets for the first places of the podium and the Overall was very interesting. It was a promotional category (8-14 years old) with a good turnout. The FASA is working in order to participate in the Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympic Games.

The annual ISMF Forum will be held on the 12th and 13th of October in Milan, Italy, where the Local Organising Committees (LOCs) of the World Cup circuit and the World Championships will convene. The Forum is a crucial meeting, where the organisers will discuss the latest developments of the International Federation in an effort to apply the highest standards of technology and organization on the international races.

Another crucial moment for the ISMF is the Referee Forum, to be held for the third time from the 16th to the 18th of November on the Matterhorn glacier. The ISMF technical consulting group and a few instructors will work on the technical aspects of the races with the judges assigned to work during the coming World Cup and World Championship season.
