The Government of Andorra has approved today the call for a national public competition for works from the GC1 extension to P.K. 9, at the height of the bridge of Tolse, in the parish of San Julia de Loria, Andorra (Pyrenees) .
The works will be carried out on the mountainside and will complement the works of the extension that are in the final phase along the river, which consisted in the construction of a pedestrian passage, parallel to the road, thus increasing the width of the lanes in the south.
The work will be carried out in the two narrowest points of this area, and will allow a meter of width to be gained in such a way that the rails will have more width and will guarantee a continuity to the voral of the highway, significantly increasing the security of the numerous cyclists that use the route. The expected execution time of the work is 4 weeks, and the deadline for submitting bids ends on November 8.
