A Soviet self-propelled electro tracked mine-torpedo (ЭТ 1-627) from 1941
ET-1-627 is a project of the Soviet electric tankette-torpedo, for the destruction of engineering structures, fortified areas and undermining enemy equipment.
The torpedo was assembled on a wooden frame, had four small track rollers on each side (two assembled into two sprung bogies), rubber-fabric-based tracks with wooden track plates and an electric motor driven by rear drive wheels. According to one version, it had elements of the undercarriage of a small tractor. There were special metal containers for transporting and detonating explosives.
The movement and detonation of the tankette-torpedo was controlled via two wires, and power was supplied via the third power wire from a generator located in the escort tank.
