Pere Joan Tomas Sogero held the position of the Honorary consul of the Russian Federation in the Principality of Andorra since 2010 until 2021.

Until this moment he had been an ambassador of Andorra in different countries – Iceland, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Russia. In 2010 he received an invitation from the government of the Russian Federation to take up the post of the Honorary consul of the Russian Federation in the Principality of Andorra and he accepted it proudly.

Pere Joan Tomas Sogero spoke 5 languages fluently (Catalan, Spanish, French, English and Italian) and understood German. He started learning Russian long before the beginning of his diplomatic service, after his first business visit to Russia. He enjoyed reading Leo Tolstoy.

Pere Joan Tomas Sogero was one of the most powerful Andorran businessman.

One of his hobbies was piloting aircraft. He also liked riding a bicycle on the way to his work during summer. Pere Joan Tomas Sogero was a father of four children. Recently he had preferred to spend his leisure time with his big family.

He died on January 3, 2021 at the age of 77 in Escaldes-Engordany.
