Flights to Andorra
Andorra has no airport but the roads to Spain or France allow getting to the airports of Barcelona (Prat) and Toulouse (Blagnac) within approximately 3 hours.
In winter the major roads are quickly cleared of snow and are completely passable; however, the road from Andorra to France (RN-20-22) is sometimes closed because of risk of avalanche. When there is a prediction of high snowfall, it is preferable to enter or leave Andorra via Spanish border.
The optimal way to reach Andorra is through Spain from international airport of Barcelona ¨El Prat¨. Spanish low cost air company VUELING offers the cheapest flights to Barcelona from main European cities and Africa.
The airport in La Seu d’Urgell, Catalonia (10km from the border with Andorra) was opened for commercial flights in the beginning of 2015. Howewer, the airport is still in the process of getting all permits to operate international flights.
