5th Photography marathon is starting in Andorra la Vella, Andorra (Pyrenees) on Saturday, 16th November.
The Photo Marathon returns this year during the Andorra Shopping Festival. The contest can be enjoyed by professionals or amateur photographers alike who take pictures with digital cameras (images captured with mobile phones will not be accepted).
The initiative, organized by the Andorran Old School of Art has 2 categories of participation: Max-Marató, long-term and individual (7 images must be presented at the contest) and the Family-Marathon, of short duration and where, at least, one of the parents or guardians and a child or young person under 15 must participate (5 photos must be submitted).
The photographs must be done on a set route and in a given time, and according to the characteristics of each category.
Participants must register in advance, filling out the forms that can be found online which must be submitted to the Cultural Centre La Llacuna on Saturday, 16th November from 10h to 10:30h where participants will be given an envelope with the specific requirements of each contest category. Each category will have two winners. The Max Marathon category is for the best collection of 7 photographs and the First Prize will be 1,200€ in photographic materials, while the Second Prize, of 800€, will also be available for acquiring specific materials. The Family Marathon category is for the best collection of 5 photographs and the winner of the First Prize will be 900€ in photographic material with the Second Prize valued at 600€.
