The 5th marathon across the Spanish-Andorran border la Travessa Transfronterera takes place on 30th September. Participants will be offered a choice of two routes: 28.6 km and 16.1 km. The first route starts from the Sports palace of La Seu D’UrgellCataloniaSpain finishes at plaça de la Germandat, San Julia de Loria in Andorra (Pyrenees). Technical characteristics: 2491 meters positive gradient and 2283 negative gradient. The route passes through Llirt, Estamariu, Bescaran, Naturlandia, Auvinyà and Aixirivall.

The second route will start at Bescaran and pass through Naturlandia and Auvinyà to the final point in Sant Julia de Loria. Specifications: 1256 meters positive gradient and 1659 negative gradient.

First-aid stops will be opened in Llirt, Estamariu, Bescaran, Naturlandia, Auvinyà and Sant Julia de Lauria.

The event is held on the eve of the fourth Congress of Nature and Sport Euro’Meet 2017, which will be held in La Seu d’Urgell on 27, 28 and 29th September.

The fifth race aims to attract more runners compared to last year (in 2016 227 runners took part in the marathon).

Runners who want to participate in this race must register on transfronterera.com.

The cost of participation is 15 euros.
