French 400-mm projectile

Intended to support cannons capable of striking the rear of enemy positions, heavy artillery on railways was developed from 1915. These cannons on wagons, with a range of 20 km, fired shells whose caliber could reach 400mm. However, there were very few of them during the Battle of Verdun.
