The 19th arrondissement of Paris is one of the 20 arrondissements of Paris (France), located in the northeastern end of the city. It is bordered to the north by the commune of Aubervilliers, to the east by the communes of Pantin, Lilas and Pré-Saint-Gervais, to the south by the 20th arrondissement and to the west by the 10th and 18th arrondissements.

Under the terms of article R. 2512-1 of the general code of local authorities (regulatory part), it also bears the name of “district of Buttes-Chaumont”.

The City of Science and Industry received almost 3 mln visitors in 2020. It is the fifth most visited cultural establishment in France (after the Louvre, Beaubourg, the Château de Versailles and the Musée d’Orsay)

The district includes 28 metro stations spread over six lines:

(M) (3bis) (Lilac Gate).
(M) (5) (Stalingrad, Jaurès, Laumière, Ourcq and Porte de Pantin).
(M) (7) (Stalingrad, Riquet, Crimea, Corentin Cariou and Porte de la Villette).
(M) (7bis) (Pré-Saint-Gervais, Place des Fêtes, Danube, Botzaris, Buttes Chaumont, Bolivar and Jaurès).
(M) (11) (Belleville, Pyrénées, Jourdain, Place des Fêtes, Télégraphe and Porte des Lilas).

Tram line 3B

Since December 15, 2012, line 3b of the Île-de-France tramway has crossed the district, from Porte des Lilas to Porte d’Aubervilliers, via boulevards Sérurier, d’Algérie, d’Indochine, avenue de la Porte-de-Pantin, route des Petits-Ponts, the Ourcq canal bridge, rue de la Clôture, boulevard Macdonald, avenue Corentin-Cariou, quai de la Gironde, Rosa-Parks station and rue d’Aubervilliers.
