17th annual forum with the participation of representatives of the family business took place in Andorra on 1st December. The event was attended by the head of the government of Andorra, Antoni Marti, who in his welcoming speech stressed the importance of the family business in the history of Andorra. “Family business is important not only from the point of view of development of the economy of Andorra, but also from the point of view of preserving values and traditions, striving for continuity and stability,” he said.
The head of government also noted that the family business enterprises must strive to compete in the international market of goods and services. This will be facilitated by an association agreement with the European Union, which will come into force next year.
“Andorra will always be a place that guarantees stability, democracy and respect for private business,” said Marti.
