The total number of job seekers in Andorra (Pyrenees) continues to decline. In December 2016 the Employment Service registered 301 people against 393 persons in November (-23.4%). This indicator is 25.5% lower than for the same period of 2015 (404 people). Thus, the number of unemployed in December became the lowest over the past 8 years.
The average number of employees during the last twelve months amounted to 36 395 persons (1.6% more than in the same period of 2015). The number of employees grew in industries such as “Education” (+ 7.3%), “Electricity production and distribution, gas and water ‘(+ 6.7%) and “health and veterinary activities, social services “(6, 1%).
The number of employees decreased in the sectors such as “domestic staff” (-3.3%), “financial system” (-2.1%) and “public administration and social security ‘(-1.7% compared with the 2015).
