Disability: Andorra handicapped associations. Hi Arribarem Association

hi_arribarem_andorraPresident of the Hi Arribarem Association Didie Rusterucci tells all-andorra.com about the history of the Hi Arribarem association and the plans for the future:

“Our Association was established in early 2013 by members of the Rotary club in Andorra (Pyrenees). The office opened in March 2013.

The origin of the Association comes from France, from a place called Ariège – French Department in the Languedoc-Roussillon region (Languedoc-Roussillon-Midi-Pyrénées, now Occitania). It started there 22 years ago when the Association Y Arrivarem was created by enthusiastic fans of active recreation in the mountains. Their aim was to help people with disabilities to enjoy mountain walks by arranging joint activities on the weekends.

The purpose of the Andorran Association coincides with the aims of our colleagues from France. We arrange the events in the Pyrenees during both summer and winter, attracting public attention to the topic of disability. Our Association Hi Arribarem is always happy to make new friends and welcome volunteers, who come to help out with the organization and preparation of the activities. We love the mountains and everything connected with them, and we want people with disabilities to also be able to enjoy walks and sports in the mountains just as easily as we can.

Thanks to the cooperation with the Government of Andorra, Andorran Rotary club, forestry of Banders (under the management of the Andorran government), Andorran Red Cross, Meritxell special school, Tutelar Foundation and all of our families and volunteers, our Association Hi Arribarem was able to create and host a wide variety of  activities. And they will continue doing so in the future.

“We are pleased to continue our activity. We are ready to do everything we can do to make the impossible a reality!

Our Association is interested in recruiting volunteers for the events and we would appreciate your help”.
