Andorra took part in the 3rd meeting of the small states in Monaco under the initiative of the World Health Organization

The Minister of health of Andorra (Pyrenees) Carles Alvarez took part in the 3rd meeting of the small states in Monaco under the initiative of the World Health Organization. Conference title – “Health and sustainable development: the advantages of small countries.” The conference was attended by health ministers of Iceland, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro and San Marino.

The purpose of the conference – to share experience in the area of public health measures.

The minister took part in the seminars on the subjects like the prevention of diseases and promotion of healthy lifestyle, as well as the protection of women’s health.

Earlier Andorra joined TOP 5 countries in the world with the highest ranking of health, according to a research of the journal The Lancet. First place in the ranking took Iceland (85 points out of 100). The TOP 5 also includes Singapore, Sweden and the United Kingdom closes the list. Look for details here
